The Beat: Man Killed in Church Patio This Evening

A 33-year old man, Óscar Soriano Varajas, was shot to death at about 5:30 this evening in the patio of a church in Parajes del Sol after he tried eluding his killers at a market. He jumped over a wall but was stopped by bullets in the church patio. Another man was killed last night at about 8:30 when, according to police reports, he tried to assault an undercover police officer assigned to the store with a knife. The police officer killed him with his pistol.
