Acapulco continues to be wracked by violence

Borderland Beat (click here) reports that As of Friday night, February 16, 49 persons were victims of homicide in Acapulco so far this year.  On Thursday there were eleven murders, and nine more on Friday.  Acapulco is located in Guerrero state, currently the most violent state in Mexico (see La Politica New Mexico, February 9)
