This is an interesting video. The project, by graduate students at Northwestern University, won a prize by the National Science Foundation. Keep track of the relative isolation of New Mexico compared with most places, and notice the boundary between Eastern New Mexico and the rest of the state: seems like the term "Little Texas" is not outmoded.
