New Bridge in Fabens Will Be Biggest on U.S.-Mexico Border

The new international bridge connecting Fabens and Caseta in the Valle de Juarez, scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2012, will be the longest, and with the most lanes, on the U.S.-Mexico border. For story on this in Diario click here. The bridge will help alleviate traffic, especially for trucks, in the other border crossings of the region, stretching from Santa Teresa to Fabens. It should also do wonders for real estate values in the surrounding areas.

Does this piece of news help readers put into larger context the recent violence in the Valle de Juarez, reported below (see posting April 5, 7)?
